On October 13, 1961, Angel Pagan was born a commoner in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Unaware of his noble background, he was registered by his maternal Grandfather,
Don Raphael Nieves y Santiago, under the full name of Angel Luis Arturo de Pagan y Nieves.
